This Tourism and Hospitality (Dissertation Stage Only) course consists of a single module, which is a research project. This course is based at the University of Sunderland in London. It mirrors the events Management course based in Sunderland.

The content of the course reflects our close links with employers, and our teaching emphasises the connections between theories and practice. The University of Sunderland is a member of the Institute of Hospitality's Education Membership.

The organisation of events like the Olympics, music festivals, and business conferences is varied and fast-moving work. The content of our course and its wide opportunities for practical experience will give you an advantage when it comes to applying for stimulating jobs.

The aims of the (IELTS) Exam Preparation Course (Academic) is to equip students with the knowledge, skills and practice to sit the IELTS exam.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Exam Preparation Course (Academic), is a short 2 week course, intensively delivered 5 hours per day Monday to Friday.

You will focus on improving language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) and systems (phonology, morphology and syntax. You will be given ample opportunity to practice these skills in both controlled and free situations in class and outside the class. You will also have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the IELTS academic test and by taking part in a mock exam at the end of the course.
