WHY TAKE THIS COURSE?
The aim of the course is to encourage students to develop as individuals within a flexible and supportive environment. We’ll help you to develop crucial skills, encouraging you to become creative, enterprising, employable and good leaders.
Our modules and teaching expertise will help you become more independent as a leaner and more certain of your discipline expertise.

The advantages of this course include:
  • small class sizes
  • continuous support and follow up on your development
  • experienced tutors who are also practitioners and specialists in their fields
  • interactive classroom teaching and workshops
  • live client briefs, liaising with and presenting to clients
  • internship and work placement opportunities

WHAT WILL I EXPERIENCE?
Distinct elements of this course will be: interest in pursuing creative solutions to graphic design problems, a broad-based and adaptable approach, self-authorship, narrative and sequence skills, art-direction, ability to direct a range of different outcomes, multi-disciplinary confidence and ability to accomplish communication tasks across a range of media and client bases.

TUITION
London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA) also host guest speakers from the graphic design sector and advertising agencies to speak to you about their experiences. We engage regularly in exchange of ideas, research and contacts with our partners. You will be taught to engage with the rapidly evolving market of digital design and visual communication on a local, national and global scale, in line with the demands of a fast-expanding industry.

The programme is complimented by visits to studio’s, agencies and industry practitioners; as well as attendance to Museums, Galleries and Exhibitions. The school takes part in international competitions, submits tenders and collaborates with companies thus allowing individual students or whole classes to take part in external professional offers – and ‘live projects’ which are always stimulating during their training period.

There is also emphasis on hands-on practical sessions which contributes towards the strong studio culture that has developed within the subject area.

ASSESSMENT
You will be given opportunities to test your understanding of the subject informally before you complete the formal assessments that count towards your final mark. This may take the form of practice or ‘formative’ assessments for which you will receive feedback from your tutor. Formative assessments are developmental and any marks you receive do not count towards your overall module mark.

There is at least one formal or ‘summative’ assessment towards the end of each module. The marks from summative assessments do count towards your overall module mark. Here’s how we would assess your work:
