COURSE OVERVIEW
English for Academic Purposes: Intermediate is aimed at people with an IELTS or equivalent score of 5.0.
If your level of English is lower than IELTS 5.0 or equivalent, you might find the Pre-Intermediate course more suitable. If your level is higher than IELTS 5.0 or equivalent, the Upper Intermediate course is for you.
All of our English for Academic Purposes courses have an important cultural and social programme. You will visit other cities in England such as Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and York, and visit places of interest in London such as the world-famous British Museum, Tate Modern art gallery and Museum of London Docklands.
Your coach and train travel to other cities will be free, and you will also receive a free London Underground Oyster Card travel pass for many of the London cultural activities. The cultural and social activities are an essential part of the course and fully linked to your classroom learning. The field trips help you to develop your awareness of life and culture in the UK and enable you to practice your English language skills in real-world situations.
